Doccia Potpourri Lid

This is a lid for a potpourri dish made by Doccia / Ginori in about 1770. It is hand painted with four nice floral arrangements, has four pierced spots for the smell to come out of - two in the shape of flowers and two in a different design, a nice floral finial and some nice design along the side with puce trim to the edge and around the top part. The lid is made with a tin glaze to cover the not so white porcelain paste of the time. This was used around 1770. The piece is in great condition with a bit of damage to the finial. It is unmarked which would be normal and is a bit oval in size with the size of the ring that would sit inside the bottom part being 4.375 inches wide and 4 inches deep. The lid is about 2.5 inches tall. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $249
