Doccia Pot de Creme #2

This is a great pot de creme cup or pot au jus with its lid used for either hot chocolate / custard or a meat broth made by Doccia in the 18th century. A very cute little cup that is hand painted with polychrome flowers - a larger arrangement to the one side with smaller flowers to the other and the lid and a nice fruit finial to the lid. I have not owned one of these by Doccia so it was nice to find it. The set displays nicely with a small chip to the top edge of the cup as shown as well as a tiny nibble to the edge of the lid which is mostly on the underside. The cup with its lid is 3 inches tall and 2.375 inches in diameter. Both are not marked underneath except for an incised mark under the cup but that is perfectly normal for this maker. The paste and flowers give it away easily. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $249
