Doccia Music Figurine #2

This is an superb figurine made by Doccia in the mid 19th century. It is called musica and obviously represents music with the central lady playing a harp, one of the putti sitting on a drum while playing the guitar and another putto with a flute and a horn as well as two books of sheet music by his side. The base is superb with the top looking like a grassy area and the sides scrolls highlighted with gilding. The piece is very well modeled and painted! Sadly it has had some damage which was restored in the past. The lady has been off the through the bottom of her legs, her neck has been worked on as has the back of her pink cloth and the end of the guitar has been restored as well. It was done very well and the piece displays perfectly except for some yellowing of the overpaint on her pink cloak and blue scarf. The piece is marked underneath with the typical N under a crown as well as the incised word musica and a plus sign. The figure is about 7.5 inches tall, 4.5 inches wide and 4 inches deep.
