Doccia Music Figurine

This is an superb figurine made by Doccia in about 1765. It is called musica due to an obvious theme :) It is of a lady playing a harp in the center with a putto with a violin behind him and another putto with a flute and a horn as well as two music books by his side. The base is superb with the top looking like clouds and the sides the typical colorful scrolls one expects from Doccia of this period. The piece is amazingly well modeled and painted and one of my new favorites! And to top it off it is in perfect condition! The piece is not marked underneath except for the incised word musica which off course is Italian for music but that is normal for them. The figure is quite heavy and 7.65 inches tall, 4.75 inches wide and 4 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $4999
