Doccia Italian Fruits Teapot

This is a rare tea pot made by Doccia in about 1770. The piece is nicely modeled and is handpainted with their famous Italian fruits design, a ring of green dots around the top and a puce and blue trim on the handle. The fruits are superb and there are lots of them - plums, rasberries, pears, cherries and even some flowers scattered throughout. It is made of tinglazed porcelain. The pot is in superb condition with nothing wrong at all except that the lid is missing which is a bit of a bummer. It is not marked but that is the norm for these pieces. The teapot is 4.75 inches tall, 4.5 inches wide and 7.25 inches long including the spout and handle. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $999
