Doccia Goblet

This is a great piece made by Doccia in the 18th century. It is a goblet made of some sort of faience type material - while Doccia is very famous for their porcelain they also used other types of materials in their production and this is a great example of this! The piece is covered with a white glaze and is superbly hand painted with a floral arrangement to the front and the back as well as lots of small flowers to the sides and some blue, green and yellow/gold design to the foot. A really nice goblet that could also be used as a vase :) The piece is in superb condition with a bit of crazing and a little wear as well as a small glaze chip around the edge of the foot as shown. It displays perfectly the way it is! The goblet is 5.75 inches tall with a top diameter of 4 inches. It is not marked underneath which is very common but the style is easily identified as Doccia.
