Doccia Ginori Relief Scene Snuff Box

This is a nice snuff / pill / patch box made by Doccia / Ginori in the mid to late 19th century. One rarely sees these so I was thrilled to come across i! The sides as well as the top are decorated with mythological / biblical scenes in relief hand painted in their typical style. The mounts appear to be gilded copper or brass or something along those lines. The top has a scene of two hutners on horses attacking two lions with spears with their dogs by their side. The inside of the box is fully gilded which is a nice touch as well. The box is in great condition with some very minor wear. It displays perfectly and is ready to be used again :) The piece is marked with the blue crown over N mark copied so often by other makers from this original. Very faint and hard to see but it is there! The box is 25 inches tall, 3 inches wide and 2.375 inches deep. A truly fun piece to look at! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
