Ginori Blanc de Chine Candlestick

This is a nice figural candlestick made by Doccia / Richard Ginori in the later 19th century. It is one of a series of four depicting the four seasons. This one being winter. Too bad I only have one :( There is a bearded male figure holding up a horn of plenty looking item in his left hand which has the candleholder on top of it. He has a long coat draped over his back and a fire on the base by his side. The base is nicely shaped and quite typical for this maker in the 18th century when they were first produced! Finding them in the white is rare as they are usually painted in bright colors. I am quite partial to the white pieces as they go with any decor! The piece displays nicely and is in great condition with just a couple of small chips along the base edge that are not obvious at all and a firing crack next to his left foot plus a few tiny black firing spots from when it was made. The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue N under a crown mark as shown. The figure is quite heavy and 11.5 inches tall, 4.25 inches wide and 4.25 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
