Doccia Tin Glaze Plate w/Wear

This is a plate made by Doccia / Ginori in about 1770. It is hand painted with three nice sized floral arrangements as well as some smaller single flowers. Nicely done in their typical style of the period and the plate has a relief design along the nicely shaped edge which makes it quite elegant. The plate is made with a tin glaze to cover the not so white porcelain paste of the time. This was used around 1770. The plate is in good condition with wear to the flowers from stacking and a thin small chip to the underside edge. A glazed over chip to the foot ring from when it was made as shown. Still a very nice example and a must have to learn more about this amazing maker! It is unmarked but that is normal during this period. The piece is 1.125 inches tall and 9.25 inches in diameter.
