Doccia Nice Floral Cup & Saucer

This is nice cup and saucer made by Doccia in the 18th century. Both pieces are hand painted with a larger floral arrangement as well as lots of single smaller flowers scattered all around. A double line trim along the edge - one black and one red make the colors really stand out. A bit of puce trim to the typically shaped handle. A really nice looking cup & saucer! The set is in great condition with a hairline across the bottom terminal of the handle as shown. A very common flaw on 18th century cups! It is stable and won't get worse. The set displays perfectly! The cup and saucer are not marked except for an incised mark underneath the saucer as shown. Very typical of their early wares! The colors, handle shape and paste are typical and unquestionably Doccia. The cup is 2.375 inches tall and 2.25 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1 inch tall and has a diameter of 4.875 inches.
