Doccia Putti Musicians Figurine

This is a nice figurine made by Doccia in the 18th century. A superbly modeled and hand painted piece of three putti sitting / standing on a rocky base with a bit of greenery on it and a tree stump to the back. One putto is holding a sheet of music another has the foot on some books with a hunting horn in front of them and the last was playing some sort of horn type instruments which has the end missing. These early Doccia pieces are very very hard to find and quite nice. The figure is quite heavy and display nicely. As I already mentioned the one musical isntrument is broken and the tree stump has damage to it as well though amazingly it is mostly there still. One small branch is missing, the top part broken and reglued and the two small branches also reglued. Tiny chip to the top. The figure is not marked underneath but that is fairly normal. The colors, paste and modeling give it away as Doccia quite easily. The piece is about 7 inches tall, 6 inches wide and 4.255 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
