Doccia Lidded Coffee Pot #2

This is a rare lidded coffee pot made by Doccia in about 1770. The piece is superbly modeled with an animal spout which is highlighted in puce and blue, is handpainted with lots of nice flowers including a large floral arrangement on the front and the back andsmall flowers on the lid as well as a nice colorful puce trim. It is made of tinglazed porcelain which was used since their porcelain was not exactly white and the tinglaze covered that up and made it appear white. The pot is in superb condition with nothing wrong at all and the lid has a small flat chip to the inside rim and a teenie flaw to the very tip of the finial which looks to be a firing issue. It is not marked except for an incised mark as shown but that is the norm for these pieces. The coffee pot is 8.75 inches tall, 4.75 inches wide and 6.5 inches long including the spout and handle.
