Doccia Figural Open Salt Dish

This is an superb figural open salt or sweetmeat dish made by Doccia in the mid 19th century. It is the typical colorful base with a female faun type figurine kneeling on top of a rock formation holding up a seashell over her head. It is a very nicely modeled piece with an unusual subject. Very well hand painted so it looks great when displayed. The figure is in perfect condition! The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crown over N mark as shown. It is 6.5 inches tall, 4.125 inches wide and 4.375 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
