Doccia Cup & Saucer

This is a rare cup and saucer made by Doccia in about 1760. This is the original to all the copies you see everywhere. The cup is decorated with mythological figures one being Mercur. The saucer is decorated with scroll work and garlands. All this is done in relief and is very detailed. The set is greyish in color and is in great condition. Two leaves of the ends of the handles are chipped. Some firing flaws such as black specs and small firing cracks (surface ones only) as well as the pieces not being perfectly round but these are just more proof that the set is 18th century. The cup and saucer are unmarked which was pretty much always the case with their wares. The cup stands 2.875 inches tall, 4 inches wide and 2.625 inches deep. The saucer is 0.875 inches tall and 4.875 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
