Doccia Blue Ground Floral Cup & Saucer

This is a really nice cup and saucer made by Doccia in the 18th century. Both pieces are hand painted with a blue ground color with three cartouches of polychrome flowers on white ground with a little bug or butterfly These are surrounded by a nice gold trim with more gilding along the edge. The cup also has some flowers / leaves painted in the bottom inside and has a nice twisted brnach handle to one side. The set is in great condition with a little wear mainly to the gilding on the edge of the cup and center of the saucer where the cup would sit. They display very well! A hard to find example for this maker! Both pieces are unmarked which is very common for this maker and period. The cup is 1.875 inches tall with a diameter of 3 inches. The saucer is just over 1 inch tall and 5.375 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
