Doccia Blue Ground & Floral Saucer

This is a nice saucer made by Doccia in the 18th century. Nicely hand painted with a blue ground color that is uneven in places with three cartouches of polychrome flowers on white ground with two little butterlies. These are surrounded by a ncie gold trim with more gilding along the edge. The piece is in great condition with some major kiln grit to one of the panels but it appears to be under the flowers so it was still painted with that issue. Not entirely sure why. The piece displays nicely and is still a superb example. There is a spot along the rim wher ethe blue is much lighter but again it was made this way. The saucer is unmarked which is very common for this maker and period. It is 1.125 inches tall and 5.375 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
