Doccia Bird Scene Cup & Saucer #2

This is a superb cup and saucer made by Doccia in the 18th century. The set is hand painted with a superb landscape scene with birds in it as well as a gold trim and the typical handle shape that is quite nice! A leaf garland around the handle area and a bit of gold trim to the handle itself. The color tones are more muted than many of their pieces which to me makes it more attractive. The cup is in great condition with a large brown firing spot to the inside. The saucer has two chips in the gilded area of the edge colroed in to hide them better. Neither is large and it displays nciely as is or could easily be restored if one wanted to do that. I also own a matching differently shaped cup if one wanted to make a trio out of the set. It is also listed. The set is not marked but the colors, handle shape and paste are typical and unquestionably Doccia. The cup is 2.5 inches tall and 2.25 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1 inch tall with a diameter of 5.25 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
