Figural Candlestick

This is an superb figural candlestick made by Doccia in about 1765. It is called autumn and there would have been four of these making up the four seasons. Too bad I only have one :) There is a male figure holding up a horn of plenty looking item in his left hand which has the candleholder on top of it. He has a little faun by his right side which is holding grapes in his right hand. The base is nicely shaped with some really bright colors on it typical of Doccia. The piece displays superbly but as one would expect there is some damage - the cornucopia type item has a break chest high and it broke out of his hand which has the thumb broken and the index finger missing the top part because of that. The base has one tip broken off but all in all no big problems. The top candleholder part looks too perfect for me though the style and coloration is correct so if it is not original it would be a replacement by Doccia so I am probably just being paranoid as usual :) The piece is marked underneath with the underglaze blue N under a crown mark as well as the incised title autunno which off course Italian for autumn. The figure is quite heavy and 11.25 inches tall, 4.375 inches wide and 4.375 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
