Gentleman Collecting Sticks Figurine

This is a figurine of a boy or young gentleman colelcting sticks for a fire made by Derby in the 18th century. He has a large bundle of sticks tied together with a rope over his right should standing on a typical base for this maker leaning on a rock with his right knee by a boccage of some leaves and red berries. The base has some blue and gold trim to the front and right side. The figure is superbly modelled and hand painted in the typical fashion for this maker. The shirt with the puce flowers is especially nice! The figurine displays perfectly but there is some minor damage - the rope I think needed to connect up top so there is a small section missing and there is some slight damage to the boccage and two small colored over chips to the back of the sticks. All rather minor and the piece looks great! The piece is unmarked underneath except for an incised 41 and the letter F or something along those lines and it does have three patch marks as shown. The figurine is 6.5 inches tall, 3.5 inches wide and 3.75 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
