Pastille Burner

This is a great pastille burner (kind of like an old incense burner) made by Derby in the mid 19th century. It is superbly modeled with four masks on the outside, feet on the base, two superb floral medallions and lots of nice gilding on a cobalt blue ground. The piece is in great condition with the knob on top of the lid reattached which is hard to spot even if you look for it! And a small firing crack in the lid which is glazed and gilded over. There is also a hairline (or something along those lines) on the underside center by the mark which is of little importance. The piece is marked underneath with the Derby crown mark with S&H on either side for the Stevenson and Hancock period. The piece with lid is 5.375 inches tall and the diameter is about 5 inches plus the masks. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
