Named Scenes Cup & Saucer

This is a cup and saucer made by Derby in the early 19th century. Both pieces are handpainted with some superb gold trim and a scene with a view that is named underneath each piece. The set is in great condition with some minor wear to the gold trim and the tiniest of munchers to the rim of the cup about 1mm by 1mm which does not affect anything at all. Both pieces are marked with the red D mark as well as View in Leicestershire on the saucer and Near Carlisle on the cup. There is a number 72 or 42 underneath the cup and a 1 underneath the saucer. Not sure if they are painters marks or what. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.5 inches in diameter. The cup is 2.25 inches tall and 3.5 inches in diameter.
