Dr. Syntax & Bull Figurine

This is a figurine of Dr Syntax being chased up a tree by a bull made by Derby in the early 19th century but am not totally sure on that date. The piece is after the famous aquatint engraving by Thomas Rowlandson that came as illustrations for the poems. The figurine is quite fun and unusual in the world of porcelain. It is very well modeled and left in the white to show off all the detail. The figurine is in great condition with some damage to the leaves of the tree which is to be expected and a firing crack around the horn and ear the touches the tree. It never came off or anything like that. The figure is unmarked underneath but that's common but it is definitely by Derby as it has their typical underside. The figurine is 6.375 inches tall, 5.25 inches wide and 3 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
