Cow Figurine

This is a really fun figurine of a cow / steer made by Derby in the 18th century. The little guy is very well modeled with one leg stretched out while the other is tucked under. A small bocage to the back to give it a little more substance. The figure is nicely modeled and perfectly hand painted to make it a very nice piece to look at! The figurine is in great condition with some minor damage to the bocage which is pretty much always the case, one leaf on the base has the tip chipped and I think the left horn has been restored though it was done perfectly and completely invisibly. It displays superbly! The piece is unmarked except for the usual patch marks as shown but that's common for this maker during this time. The figurine is 3.125 inches tall, 3.6255 inches wide and 2.25 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
