Blue Ground Named Scenic Cup & Saucer

This is a really nice cup and saucer made by Derby in the late 18th century. Both pieces have a deep blue ground color with some nice fancy gilding over that and a hand painted scene with a view that is named underneath each piece. Nice handle shape on the cup! The set is in terrific condition for its age with some minor wear to the gold trim which is in much better conditon than almost any I ahve seen before. There is the tiniest of munchers to the foot edge of the cup about 1mm by 1mm which is gilded over and likely from when it was made. A minor foot ring chip to the saucer as shown. The set displays perfectly! Both pieces are marked with the puce crown D mark as well as In Derbyshire on the saucer and Callander Bridge on the cup. The saucer is 1.375 inches tall and 5.5 inches in diameter. The cup is 2.25 inches tall and 2.625 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
