Del Vecchio Plate #2

This is a rare plate made by DelVecchio around 1800. It is made of creamware and has a nice medallion in the center with a landscape scene in it that looks very much like the popular micro mosaics of earlier times. The scene is surrounded with a black line and then a luster colored double dot and line trim. The edge of the bowl also has a small design painted in the same luster color and then there is the superb rim design. Not sure if it was meant to look a bit like woodgrain or some type of stone. Gold trim and rope design to the edge. The plate is in good condition with some crazing and a hairline but it displays beautifully and is very rare. Also three small glaze nicks on the edge of which at least two look to be from the manufacturing process. It is marked underneath with the impressed FDV over N mark. Also a small paper with the mark information on it. The plate is a little over 0.75 inches tall and 9.125 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
