Cozzi Tobacco Leaf Dish

This is a superb and rare dish made by Cozzi in about 1770. The factory made soft-paste porcelain in Venice and was founded by Geminiano Cozzi in 1764. It closed in 1812. The platter / plate is hand painted with a tobacco leaf design that is very attractive and extremely ahrd to find by them. A colorful motif that covers most of the plate. Gold trim to the edge. The piece is in great condition without chips, etc. but there is some wear to the gold trim and the enamels. Displays superbly! The dish is 1.375 inches tall, 11.5 inches wide and 9.375 inches deep. It is not marked underneath but unmistakably by Cozzi. Two marked examples were sold by Christie's a few years ago. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
