Cozzi Sauce Dish

This is a superb sauce dish or sauciere made by Cozzi around 1770. The factory made soft-paste porcelain in Venice and was founded by Geminiano Cozzi in 1764. It closed in 1812. The piece is hand painted with a floral arangement on the front and the back as well as a smaller flower to either side and four fun bugs with a gold and cobalt blue trim along the top edge. A really nice look! The piece is in great condition with a small chip to te top edge and some firing cracks to the bottom edge as shown. The inside has some hard water deposits which could be cleaned up if need be with some vinegar. I guess someone used it as a planter in the past. The dish is 2.75 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide and and 3.375 inches deep. It is marked with their red anchor mark underneath as shown.
