Cozzi Nice Floral Soup Plate

This is a superb floral soup plate made by Cozzi around 1770. The factory made soft-paste porcelain in Venice and was founded by Geminiano Cozzi in 1764. It closed in 1812. The plate is hand painted with a nice blue ground along the rim with a fun gold trim over that. From there some single flowers and larger floral arangement jut out into the well of the plate with a souple more single flowers on the rim. Tiny leaves to cover up firing flaws and a nice flower in the center of the plate make this a very nice looking example for this rare maker! The piece is in great condition with just a touch of wear mainly to the gilding in a spot on the very edge and a bit along the edge of the well probably from stacking. All quite minor and the piece displays perfectly The plate is 1.375 inches tall and just over 8.5 inches in diameter. It is marked with their red anchor mark underneath as shown as well as a blue mark along the foot ring and an old museum ID number. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
