Cozzi Monogram Saucer

This is a nice saucer most likely made by Cozzi and definitely in Italy in the 18th century. The factory made soft-paste porcelain in Venice and was founded by Geminiano Cozzi in 1764. It closed in 1812. The piece is hand painted with a nice puce rim design as well as a leaf and berry garland and a gold leaf garland intertwined with a gold monogramm taking up the center. I believe the letters are GL. A gold edge and a few tiny gold leaves finish up this nice saucer. It is in decent condition with a chip to the edge of the saucer from which a hairline goes into the bowl about an inch. Stable and not much to worry about but it is there. Still a nice example that display fine. A tiny bit of gold wear to the center. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter. The piece is not marked but I am certain the set is Italian from this period and Cozzi fits the best as to an exact maker. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
