Cozzi Floral Plate

This is a superb floral plate made by Cozzi around 1770. The factory made soft-paste porcelain in Venice and was founded by Geminiano Cozzi in 1764. It closed in 1812. The plate is handpainted with a floral arangement in the center as well as four fun bugs, a gold ring around the well, five smaller flowers along the rim with a gold and cobalt blue trim along the edge. A superp plate that is just plain fun to look at! The piece is in perfect condition with a little wear that does not take away from the piece and it is a common issue on softpaste porcelain! SOme black kiln dust along the footring edge where the glaze pooled. The plate is 1 inch tall and 8.5 inches in diameter. It is marked with their red anchor mark underneath as shown.
