Cozzi Chinoiserie Scene Cup & Saucer

This is a rare and superb find - a cup and saucer made by Cozzi in the 18th century. The factory made soft-paste porcelain in Venice and was founded by Geminiano Cozzi in 1764. It closed in 1812. The set is hand painted with a leaf and berry garland on the edge, a nice flower to the inside of the teabowl but the best part is the chinoiserie type scene that fills the entire well of the saucer and one side of the cup. The cup has a nice floral scene to the opposite side of the scene and a little twig to either side. An amazing set that is very rare. The scenes are of super quality! The set is in superb condition with some firing faults and some minor use marks but all in all about as nice as one could hope for. No chips or repairs or hairlines! The tea bowl is 1.5 inches tall and has a diameter of 2.75 inches and the saucer is 0.875 inches tall and 4.375 inches in diameter. The saucer is marked underneath with the reddish underlined 43 as shown while the cup has an incised 10. A truly rare and fun set! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
