Copeland Huerten Plate #2

This is a really nice octagonal plate made by Copeland Spode in about 1880. It is superbly hand painted with a nice flowering shade plant in the center with large thick leaves surrounded by an exotic forest. The scene is surrounded by a pink ground border with a Greek key gold design and the rim has they typical and amazing turquoise color to it with more gilding. Nice shape to the edge! The scene is signed CFH for Charles Ferdinand Hürten who is quite famous for his superb landscape scenes. Hurten was a German artist that did some of the most amazing floral paintings on porcelain ever. The plate is in great condition. The only issue is that the turquoise ground color has some staining to it. Not sure if it can be cleaned. I tried lightly but nothing. It is not crazed so it's not deep but the turquoise color is notoriously fickle so it might be a firing issue. It displays perfectly! It is marked with the greenish blue fancy monogram mark with Copeland underneath used from 1851 until 1885 as well as some impressed numbers as shown. The mark is only a partial one and hard to make out in this case but it is there. The piece is 0.75 inches tall and 8.75 inches in diameter at the widest point.
