Coalport Bird Scene Compote

This is a really nice compote / tazza / cake stand made by Coalport or possibly Copeland in the mid 19th century. Probably one of the nicest I have ever come across with a large hand painted scene in the center of three birds of pray sitting in a tree with the rim having a nice shape and a turquoise ground color with some fancy gilding on top. Even the underside has three bird scenes on it and the foot has the same turquoise and gold design to it. A true beauty! The piece is not marked underneath which is fairly normal still during this period. This cake plate displays perfectly with a tiny bit of wear bit the top part has had a hairline perfectly restored which is only visible when shining a light through it. A superb job!! The compote is 4.625 inches tall and the top plate has a diameter of 9.375 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
