Chodau Funny Plate #2

This is a funny porcelain plate made by Chodau ( Chodov ) around 1843. The maker was founded in 1811 by Franz Miessl in Dolní Chodov which is part of the Czech Republic now but was part of the Austrian Empire back then. The plate has a scene in the center of two dessed up people in front of a building full of identical looking gentlemen looking out the windows. Not sure what this one is all about as I cannot quite make out the last word of the sentence " Wir alle sind Teheimeraethe" No clue on that last word. Must be something funny about it but it is over my head :) The little plate is in great condition with some wear as shown and a spider crack which shows mostly in the back except for one faint line. It is is marked underneath with the impressed Chodau mark as well as an incised XII mark. The piece has a diameter of about 5.25 inches. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $99
