Twisted Handle Blue & White Pot

This is a great little lidded pot made in China around the mid 18th century during the Qing Dynasty . It is hand painted with what is often referred to a Blue Willow design in under glaze blue with the gilding added alter in London to make it easier to sell. The handlke it a twisted strap type handle with a bit of blue and gold decoration to it as well. The handle terminals end in some applied leaves and flowers which looks stunning. It's nice to have the lid with it which has some sort of fruit or berry type finial. The scene includes some buldings as well as flowers and trees including a palm tree which is a bit unusual. The pot is in great condition with a small repaired chip to the top edge with a small hairline going from it that is stained adn thus quite old. I just saw this now and it is invisible when on display. I cannot see the hairline at all from th outside nor feel it on either side so it's very tight and stable. A bit of gold wear mainly to the handles and a small dent in the foot ring though that seems to be from when it was made. The lid underside as painted in a greyish type color. The pot is unmarked which is normal. It is about 5 inches tall, 4 inches from handle to front and 3 inches wide. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
