Lotus Libation Cup

This is a really fun lotus leaf hand painted libation cup made in China in 1908. The famille rose colored pink petal decorated leaf shaped cup was given to soldiers after they completed their fall training and it was made in the imperial kilns. The inscriptions says Souvenir cup to Qui Cad near Lake Taihu in the province of An Hui, 32 years of the Guangxu Imperial Qung dynasty or something along those lines. Fun to look at and functional and while I assume quite a few were made it is a high quality fragile thin piece that was meant to be used so many if not most are probably long gone after its 100 plus years in existence. The cup has a tiny hole in the green patch in the center and the stem is hollaw so you can drink from it that way. A truly fun piece to look at in your display case! The piece is in superb condition with no chips or restorations, etc. but it does have some minor firing flaws typical of these types of items. Nothing that takes away from it! The dish is not marked underneath but that is normal for this type of ware. It is just over 3.5 inches tall, 6.5 inches long and 4.875 inches wide.
