Giles Decorated Chinese Export Saucer

This is an interesting saucer made in China and decorated in England in the mid 18th century. I believe it was hand painted by James Giles either senior or junior. I have no way of figuring out which one it was or even if there is a way to tell them apart. Either way it is a superb little dish that is hand painted with some a really nice large floral arrangement as well as a smaller one plus two single flowers and some bugs one of which is a butterfly that is just amazing! A very thinnly potted dish which is typical for Chinese porcelain from this period. The saucer is in great condition with some very minor wear as shown, some small nibbles to the edge that do not take away from this piece and a hairline to the rim as shown from both sides that is stable. So tight that the piece still rings nicely. The piece is not marked underneath but definitely Chinese Export that was painted in England / London . The piece is 0.875 inches tall and 4.625 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
