Famille Rose Scenic Plate

This is a nice soup plate in the Famille Rose coloration made in China in the 18th century. The piece is hand painted with a scene in the center including three figures - a lady sitting with a servant lady enxt to her and a young child in front of them. A buidling right behind them with a fence jutting out and hills in the background with small buildings in the front. The rim has a nice trim to it including puce designs and open spots with flowers on white ground surrounding with a bit of orange trim, Really a nice looking plate! You can find similar designs on English porcelain from this period! The plate is in good condition with some nibbles along the edge. Three to the top that I showed and some smaller ones along the bottom edge as well. A little color would hide the flat chips to the top perfectly! A firing flaw to the center front which can be seen in the pics. From when it was made! It still displays very nicely and is not a common example to find. The piece is not marked underneath which is normal. It is 1.625 inches tall and 9 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
