Export Bird Scene Teapot

This is a porcelain teapot with its lid made in China in the mid 18th century. It has a nice shape espcially the handle with lots of molded details to the handle, the spout and the top edge of the pot and outside edge of the lid. The decoration though has me a bit puzzled as it seems out ofs tyle for chinese expoert though I ahve seen a piece here and tehre with exotic birds on it though they are rare. The bottom footring is glazed so I am thinking it is London decorated!? Any input would be appreciated as always! Either way the piece is handpainted very nicely with birds of paradise as well as a floral garland and blue dots. Gold trim to the handle, spout edge and finial on the lid. Steamhole is conceiled in the center of the finial which is also an unusual shape. The teapot and cover are in superb condition with a little wear to the gilding, some chipping to the spout tip that is not obvious and the inside hles leading to the spout are broken out. All in all as good as it gets! The pot is not marked underneath but that is normal for this type of ware. It is 5 inches tall, 7.5 inches long and about 4.25 inches in diameter. Firing hole in the handle underside as shown! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
