Dessert Dish

This is a very rare heart shaped dessert dish made by Chelsea around 1755. It is made of softpaste porcelain and handpainted with a few nice flower arrangements, lots of small flowers and a few bugs. Nice reddish brown trim to the rim. I love the shape which is not common at all either. The dish is in great condition with a chip to the rim, a very tiny nibble to the rim, a manufacturing firing crack to the rim which was hidden by the leaves of one flower and a little wear in general from use which really isn't bad. Mostly the high points of the little lumps and bumps typical of the period. The piece is not marked but it has the typical spur marks on the back from firing and the moons when you shine a light through it. It is 1.75 inches tall, 10.875 inches wide and 7.25 inches deep.
