Floral Cup & Saucer

This is a bell shaped cup and saucer made by Chelsea in the mid 18th century - circa 1755. It is made of softpaste porcelain which has a charm that hardpaste could never come close to and each piece is hand painted with a nice floral arrangement as well as lots of single flowers and even a leaf scattered throughout. The edge has the typical brown trim to it. The flowers are in the German style which is superb. Looks very much like a cup and saucer from the top German maker from the same period except the soft paste makes it look nicer! The set is in great condition with some minor use and wear marks and some tiny black firing spots from when it was made. It displays very nicely. Both pieces are marked with the tiny red anchor mark along the foot ring underneath as shown and they have the three typical spur marks on the back from the firing process. The cup is 2.25 inches tall with a diameter of 2.375 inches. The saucer is 0.875 inches tall and has a diameter of 4.75 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
