Chelsea / Derby Plate

This is a plate made by Chelsea / Derby between 1770 and 1884. It is made of softpaste porcelain and hand painted in a very typical style for this period with floral swags / garlands around the plate with a central design of an urn and gold trim to the edge. The urn is superbly pained with a little bust portrait and floral garlands. The flower garlands along the rim are colorful and easily identified as having been made by this maker durng this period. Great quality plate! The plate is in good condition with wear to the gold trim along the edge and wear to a few of the flowers of the galrnds which looks to be from stacking. Some scratch mark from use typical to these early soft paste pieces but it displays nicely! The dish is marked with the gold anchor and D mark as shown. It is just under 1.125 inches tall and has a diameter of 8.5 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
