Bodkins Case / Etui

This is a very nice and rare bodkins case or etui made made by Chelsea around 1780. It is made of softpaste porcelain with a blue and white stipe design to it highlighted with lots of gilding including grape vines and flowers. Nice gold mounts - I think the part showing is real gold but the metal on the inside is gold plates and partially worn. The pice is in superb condition with very little wear to the gilding. A nice and rare survivor! Unmarked which is the norm for this kind of item. The etui is 4.375 inches tall and just under 0.75 inchies in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
