Josiah Wedgwood Plaque

This is a rare relief portrait plaque of Josiah Wedgwood that seems to be made from a dark brown Jasperware by Wedgwood in the 18th century. It seems to be modeled after the well known black basalt plaque by William Hackwood - possibly an experimental piece since it is not signed. Either way a very well done piece that is in great condition with an original 18th century frame that suits it perfectly. One could hang it on the wall or it has a stand that folds out to be able to display it on a table or dresser. It is a really a superbly made piece. The plaque is 3.25 inches tall and 2.625 inches wide by itself and the frame measures 3 inches wide and 4.625 inches tall. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
