Enamel Box w/ Watch

This is a patch box made in Vienna , Austria around the mid to late 19th century. The Viennese enamel pieces are just superb and this one here is no exception. It is made of enamel on brass (I think) and is hand painted with a superb polychrome scenic decoration including a lady and a gentleman as well as a cherub in the clouds on the lid, two ladies and two gentlemen on the sides of the bottom piece and a landscape scene with a building in the center on the underside. The entire inside has similar landscape scenes. The unusual part is that is has a watch set into the lid center which is really nice with blue Roman numerals with gold dots in between and a beveled glass lid. The piece is not marked but it is of superb quality and almost certainly from Vienna with a small possiblity that is is French. The box is in amazing condition with one spot of missing paint right by the watch at the 5 o'clock position that is not obvious at all and a few light scratches mainly to the underside as shown. The top rotated fairly frrely in the mounts but I don't really consider that an issue. In about as good a condition as one could hope for. As for the watch - it runs but occasionally needs a little encouragement to get going and I have no idea if it keeps time properly. I know nothing about watches but it seems to be in good shape and probably just needs a light servicing/cleaning to be perfect again. All in all a really nice piece! The box is 1.5 inches tall with a diameter of 2.75 inches. Please email me for more information or photos.
