Ena Orient Tea Set for 6

This is a neat tea set for six made by Augarten in the 20th century. It is from the Ena Orient series and was first designed by Ena Rottenberg in the 1930s and is not easy to find. Augarten recently re did this series with a modern twist but this set here is not from the new edition! There was some uproar over this due to the obvious sensitive nature of the design. What was a very popular motif in the 30's is maybe not that appropriate anymore in current times. I still think it is a fun design if one puts it into the context of the period. This is the tea set but there is also a coffee pot design out there. Four different exotic heads make up the possible finial. A malay, an Indian, a person of color and a Chinese person. I have the Malay and Chinese ones I believe in this set. The entire set is made of really nice thin porcelain with a very modern shape to it typical to the period and the teapot and sugar dish have the figural finial to them. All the pieces pieces are in perfect condition. The teapot handle has a brown spot to the top underside of the handle from when it was made - some sort of support was removed which is normal. The set is marked underneath as shown with underglaze blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath. The sugar and creamer as well as four cups also have Made in Austria in red under them. The tea pot is about 5.5 inches tall, 10.75 inches from handle to spout and 7 inches wide. The sugar pot and lid are about 4 inches tall and 4.75 inches in diameter. The creamer is 2.75 inches tall, 3.625 inches wide and 5.875 inches long. Each saucer is about 0.625 inches tall with a diameter of 5.875 inches. Each cup is about 1.75 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter with the handle sticking out another 1.125 inches.
