Spanish Riding School Figurine

This is a superb figurine made by Augarten in the mid 20th century. The figure is from the series of figures depicting different positions of the horses in the Spanish Riding School in Vienna this one being called Levade . Super modeling and painting. A nicely modeled example and hand painted superbly. The figurine is in perfect condition which is always a plus with these. The figure is 8.75 inches tall, 4 inches wide and about 7.75 inches long. The piece is marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath, Augarten Wien Austria in red, impressed model number, a black 112 as a painter's mark, impressed letter D and impressed Made in Austria as shown. The side of the base reads Levade - Spanische Reitschule on one side and Hofburg Wien on the other. A superb piece! Please email me for more information or photos.
