Painted Madonna Bust

This is a rare painted version of a bust of the Madonna wearing a crown made by Augarten during the mid 20th century. This piece was originally designed by Ida Schwetz-Lehmann in 1933. One sees these in white quite often but rarely ever does one see the painted version like this here. The figurine is 8 inches tall, about 3.5 inches deep and about 5 inches wide so she is the larger size version. Marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath as well as the usual impressed marks as shown including the artist initials ISL.
