Polychrome Cockatoo Figurine #3

This is a fun Art Deco cockatoo bird figurine made by Augarten during the mid 20th century. The figure is superbly modeled (originally by the famous Mathilde Jaksch ) in a very typical pose for this sort of bird and hand painted with just enough color to make it a very elegant piece. The yellow head feathers and green leaves on the base make the piece stand out and look great! The figure is 4.5 inches tall, 3.75 inches wide and 5.125 inches deep. The piece is in perfect condition! It is marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath, Made in Austria impressed, a painter's number 31 and the model number 1599 as shown.
