Painted Girl Bust

This is a bust of a girl made by Augarten during the mid 20th century. This is the much harder to find painted version. This piece was designed by Ida Schwetz - Lehmann who also designed a few other pieces including the Madonna bust one sees much more often. She also designed a matching boy bust. The figure is nicely modeled and hand painted to perfection. The figurine is 7.25 inches tall, about 4.25 inches deep and 5.25 inches wide. Marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath, impressed Made in Austria and the number 1750 as well as the letter L. The artist name is incised underneath one of the shoulders only visible when turned over. She is in perfect condition. Please email me for more information or photos.
